Some delegates would already have attended a specialist workshop in their discipline. Others will be arriving and settling in to their accommodation. Many delegates would have registered at the venue in the afternoon. This reception, to be held in the foyer of the MECC overlooking the Yarra river, is a chance to catch up with colleagues, sample local food and wine, and listen to live music.

Monday  6th of October
Stylish Monday
National Gallery of Victoria

The main body of the conference is under way. It has been a great day. Here is a chance to stroll along the picturesque Yarra River to our National Gallery of Victoria. You will be escorted to the Great Hall to enjoy an evening featuring laid-back live music. A chance to mingle. Finger food and drink provided.

Tuesday 7th October
Xtreme Nite Out
QBH nightclub

Half-way. Things are getting serious. You have learnt a great deal. You have networked. You are tired and thirsty. This is a ‘let-down-your-hair’ event sponsored, guided and executed by XTEK LTD. It is a big band, finger food, drink and nightclub experience but still walking distance from the convention centre. A chance to mingle and yet not remember who you spoke to. Warning: Scientists have been known to dance on this night.

Wednesday 8th October
Free Night

A night to enjoy an evening in Melbourne's restaurants, bars, clubs, theatres, laneways... It is of your own making!

Thursday 9th October
Formal Dinner and Closing Ceremony

The formal symposium is over. You are well dressed. Melbourne’s premier function room is prepared. Sit down formal dinner. Speeches, awards and farewells. Dance moves practised on Tuesday perfected and executed perfectly to the accompaniment of live music.
